35 Years, New Heights: Royal Caviar Club Toasts to MetaBev in the Clouds
Hong Kong, October 9, 2025 — On The Henderson's 39th floor, a grand celebration spanning six cities and connecting eight premier bars unfolded. MetaBev, a legendary brand deeply rooted in Hong Kong's hospitality industry for 35 years, chose this futuristic space to partner with Royal Caviar Club, demonstrating to the world what "the taste of time" truly means.
As night fell, The Henderson's facade illuminated with changing lights. This building, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects with its distinctive streamlined appearance, has become a new focal point of Hong Kong's skyline. At Cloud 39 on the 39th floor, over 200 hospitality elites, master mixologists, and gastronomy enthusiasts from around the globe gathered to witness this historic moment.

"Thirty-five years, for a brand, represents not merely time accumulation but the sum of countless choices," MetaBev's founder emotionally stated in opening remarks. Since opening the first bar in Central in 1990, MetaBev has witnessed Hong Kong through financial crises, the handover, SARS outbreaks, and globalization waves. Throughout these 35 years, MetaBev has maintained one philosophy: bringing the world's finest beverages and most memorable experiences to Hong Kong.
This anniversary celebration's uniqueness lay in its global vision. Through video connections, Hong Kong's Cloud 39 synchronized celebrations with Ulaanbaatar's Four Senses, Venice's Harry's Bar, Tokyo's Punch Room, Singapore's Soko Bar, Hong Kong's St. Regis Bar, Amsterdam's Gallows Humor, Sydney's Paal, and London's Gold Bar. Each bar's mixologist specially created a "time"-themed cocktail, all paired with Royal Caviar Club's premium caviar.
At Cloud 39's center, Royal Caviar Club established a magnificent tasting bar. Six professional servers in white uniforms stood behind the counter, presenting guests with five different caviar experiences. Most eye-catching was a massive ice sculpture displaying 50 jars of Royal Cristal Gold caviar, gleaming golden under lights like treasure retrieved from ocean depths.

A Tokyo-based mixologist shared his creative concept: "I chose Japanese whisky, plum wine, and a touch of lemon juice to craft a cocktail called 'Tokyo Dusk,' paired with Imperial Ossetra caviar. The whisky's smokiness, plum's sweet-tartness, and caviar's briny freshness combine like Tokyo itself—tradition coexisting with modernity, contradictory yet harmonious."
An interactive exhibition showcased MetaBev's 35-year history through photographs and milestone moments. From the first bar's opening photos to collaboration snapshots with renowned global brands, from employee smiles to customer satisfaction, every photograph told a story. The exhibition's final section featured an enormous world map marking MetaBev's global footprint and future plans.
The Henderson's location holds special significance. This building in Central's core represents not only Hong Kong's new commercial landmark but symbolizes the city's continuous evolution as an international metropolis. "We chose The Henderson to celebrate our 35th anniversary because this building represents Hong Kong's future," explained MetaBev's brand director. "Our partnership with Royal Caviar Club represents our eternal pursuit of quality. Thirty-five years ago we pursued excellence; thirty-five years later, we still do."
The evening's climax featured a performance by a string quartet from the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Amid melodious music, guests raised glasses, savored Royal Caviar Club caviar, and gazed upon Victoria Harbour's glittering nightscape through windows. In this moment, time seemed frozen, 35 years of history converging with unlimited future possibilities.
One longtime customer who attended MetaBev's first bar opening reflected: "Thirty-five years ago, I was a fresh graduate celebrating my first job at MetaBev's bar. As midnight bells chimed, MetaBev's founder and Royal Caviar Club's representative jointly cut a massive anniversary cake.
